Good Grief, I've been held captive for hours watching the 18 inning marathon Astros-Braves game today. Thankfully, the Astros rewarded this long-term couch surfing by actually winning it after about 6 hours of game play.

So this game goes down as the longest post season game in history, in both time played, and innings. The previous innings stretch in the post season was the horrible 16 inning game between the Astros and Mets back in 1986. that one broke my heart, but this one, was much, much happier.

Both teams used all of their rosters except for last night's pitcher, and the pitchers who would be going tomorrow, if the Braves had won today, but instead, Roger Clemens comes in in the 13th and manages to be the winning pitcher, making our next game against the Cardinals...much like last year.

Nothing's ever easy for these guys. This was definitely a difficult one, but it's not like we haven't experienced worse. Onward we go!

I am not even an Astros fan, but I nearly cried when Bagwell came to the plate. Its gonna happen, I know it. its going to be Gibson/dodgers all over again. Its gonna be a close game, in the late innings, Bags is going to come out and just make every Houstonian shriek in joy.

*sigh*
now, on to the Yanks.

I'd prefer to hold that moment for Bagwell if/when we get to the World Series. This is just the division playoffs, so there's a long road ahead of us here.

I'd be more than happy to help Bagwell come out, though.
