Scary Movies
Aug. 28th, 2004 04:51 pmI ran away from Kennypalooza 2004 for a little bit. I love the company, but ultra violent movies just aren't my cup of tea. When we couldn't figure out what to do next, Matty decided we could watch two movies, either Battle Royale a movie about Japanese school children who are chosen by lottery for a TV show where they must kill each other to "win", or The Grudge, a spooky haunted house movie, also Japanese, that will have an American version starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, premiering in a couple of weeks.
After watching a couple of minutes of Battle Royale, I really didn't want to see anymore, and made the excuse of needing to pick up some Claritin. Matty's cat is making me sneeze, so it is valid. (Truth be told, I'm also horny as hell, and a group of good looking bears all huddled up watching a movie was getting me a little worked up.) Thinking that I had an hour or so, I came home to take a shower (stop thinking that, I just hadn't had a shower today, and then I'd run some errands while they watched the movie.
I'm not a scary movie fan. I barely got through Scream a few years back.
Well, apparently the movie was too much for them as well. I got a call that they had stopped watching it and wondered where I was. Now I don't feel quite as wimpy as I thought I was!
