Just a quick note, since we're ready to head out the door again...

Had fun last night with John ([livejournal.com profile] blithwulf) and Roger ([livejournal.com profile] aadroma) as we met Owen ([livejournal.com profile] murphy) and Richie ([livejournal.com profile] richie741). Everybody in Chicago Rocks! Let me tell you, Richie is a fantastic cook. We headed out to Big Chicks and I think I met [livejournal.com profile] musicmanchicago, but I'm not totally sure. I think I was a little tipsy and I've forgotten a couple of details.

Chris, I don't remember to many details of last night's phone call, sorry! Good to hear from you. Right now Roger is using me as a jungle gym.

I've shopped the Miracle Mile, seen the Chicago River, watched Buckingham Fountain blow, and eaten at the Original Pancake House. We went to the Field Museum and saw the tragic renovations they are doing to Soldier Field. The lake shore is gorgeous. I think it's fun watching John see places he hasn't travelled to in years.

I'll finish up the Grand Rapids info soon...there's only a little more to go. I think we're going to try to get up to the Sears Tower today and perhaps the Cubs tonight!!

More later.

May I suggest the John Hancock building instead of the Sears? When I visited Chicago I was told that though it's not as tall it actually has a much better view. And it certainly did!

We plan to hit the Hancock Building tomorrow. I'm all for views from tall buildings!

Hancock has by far a better skywalk than Sears. There's one part that's open air (protected by nasty grating), but it beats the closed up Sears Tower anyday!
