I know that this isn't the job you wanted. I see the emptiness in your eyes, the unfulfilled dreams, the crushed expectations, it's difficult.

I have advice for you, yes, hard work will get you ahead. It sounds silly, you give and give and it's very unrewarding. That's short-term thinking. I've hired and fired people, it is important in the long run to do your best. Opportunities do come to those who make the effort.

I promise, the future will be better, but it depends on the choices and actions you make today. You could slack off, you could not care, but you also have the choice to make your best effort. You might not think I'd notice. Sure, the worst attributes often get the most press, but people do take note of the good things, too.

Now, with that being said, could I please have my Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, please?

Hey, just an FYI that McDonald's Girl isn't actually on the Yello Tape. It's a bootleg from local Toronto alt-rock station Edge 102's annual xmas party which BNL have frequented for years. Same goes for the duet of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen with Sarah McLauchlan.

Sorry, just wanted to set that straight. I'm a huge BNL dork.

That's cool, just one of those downloads that's mis-labled. No surprise there. The Christmas song has appeared on a few christmas compillations in the last couple of years, though.

I thought it was strange that it was a live performance listed on one of the early albums.

Can't wait for their new album!
