The AFA will cry foul left and right about anything in the most bigoted, hateful manner, but if you dare to call them on it, you're a horrible, intolerant person.
Exactly, and it's more often than not that the show's humor comes at the expense of gays than much of anything else. It's a "gay" show made safe for middle america.
Your right bout the AFA being reactionary bigots, only concerned about their own world, and not tolerant of anyone else.
....but it would make me really happy if a network executive would go on record to say to the AFA, "No, we're not making fun of the crucifixion or Christianity. We're making fun of you."
They really should, you know? Why not say she's a member of the AFA and let the fur fly. It's not as if they're coming back next season or anything. Heck, the controversy will probably raise ratings if the AFA doesn't get affiliates to refuse to broadcast it.
