I so rarely dream, or at least remember my dreams. Still last night's was a little remarkable.

I dreamed that I was sometimes watching, sometimes acting in Randy's ([livejournal.com profile] lostncove) proposed Bear play, based on the year that Bear Pride and a Promise Keepers convention were scheduled at the same hotel. A bit of the lines went something like:

PK Leader: We promote men being the head of the household.
Bears: yeah, sure, OK,
PK Leader: We wish to unite men in vital relationships
Bears: Yes! Right!
PK Leader: We think that men should not be subservient.
Bears: Uh...

The thing that Randy will kill me about is the fact that it eventually turned into a musical. There was a song about "What Are Bears?" that never answered the question, and "The Conundrum of Fundamentalism". There was some big song near the end that seemed to be a variation of "The Rancher and the Farmer Should Be Friends" from Oklahoma!.

Of course the whole thing hinges on one of the PK's being bold enough to cross to the other side. Not that other PK's are getting their jollies because of the train wreck in the hotel, but one man actually manages to come out while the others go back to their wives and families. Personally I'd hope that Randy eventually does write the play (with or without the songs).

Personally, I shouldn't eat at the Olive Garden.

Ha! How cool.

based on the year that Bear Pride and a Promise Keepers convention were scheduled at the same hotel.

If I remember correctly, this has happened more than once and not just for Bear Pride. It seems the PKs like to follow bear events around. Wonder why? :p

That was the American Association of Christian Counselors. I remember one of them asking me what the whole TBRU thing was, and me, being a new guy not knowing how to answer him.
