Tuesday Morning Randomness
Jul. 15th, 2003 08:14 amWell, I was planning to post about the rest of my weekend, but I don't have enough time right now, plus the additional drama that went around the whole event makes me think that I'll have to put a little extra care in writing about that. Still, it is my journal, and I will post what I want.
The reason I don't have time is the fact I need to be at work early (yes, 9:00am is early for me) due to the situation with Hurricane claudette. Really, Claudette is just bringing a lot of rain, thunder and some wind, but the actual eye of the storm is running aground about 150 miles down shore from us. It's not that big of a deal.
Many of you know that I am making a trip to Chicago and Grand Rapids starting Thursday. I'm hoping to get a group together on Wednesday, July 23to go see the Cubs (and Phillies,
murphy) at Wrigley Field. Yes, going to Wrigley is a big deal for me. If you'd like to go as well, just let me know.
Other things about Chicago...I want to meet so many people, don't be surprised if you get an email from me if you're in the area. I want to do architecture tours and hang out on the lake shore. i can't wait to see more people in Grand Rapids and watch the plays Randy has instore for us. Why do I have two more days of work!?!
Otherwise, I think a bit of planning for this trip has just gone wonky and it worries me. My budget is giving me some trouble so now I'm not so sure what i can do...we'll see how it goes. Activities that are free, or low cost will be good. Any suggestions?
Very excited about Chicago!
