The Surreal Life
Mar. 14th, 2003 09:04 amBig happy birthday greetings to Tom,
invisiblebear! Here's hoping for the best for you this year!
Listening to the CD that
schnitz_mi sent to me (because I begged him to). lots of fun cover tunes - I love cover tunes! Thanks Schnitz!
Cleaning up the apartment last night, I realized how much of the prototypical bachelor I am. Mismatched silverware (I have 3 different kinds), comic books, fraternity memorabilia (including the paddles of my four little brothers) and computer gadgets.
The sheets and towels are all solid colors, I've still not gotten around to putting up anything on the walls in the bedroom, and I've been here for six months now. The bills are piled up on the side table with no rhyme or reason. All the pictures are of places I've been, and rarely is there a person in them.
I'm eating breakfast here at the computer desk. there's a pair of athletic socks (aka white socks) that are still draped across my Nikes. All the other clothes awaiting the next laundry day - this weekend- are properly put away in the hamper. I'll make sure I don't leave the dish in the sink, but you know that would be soooo easy.
The furniture is from three sources, grandmothers, Target or IKEA. The TV is 27" and ten years old.
Yep, typical bachelor pad - for a 25 year old. Need to earn more money and dress this place up.
