Home again
Jan. 17th, 2003 01:25 amI just got home, maybe ten minutes ago.
From work.
Yes, before
garebear goes off on me for working myself to death, I know I'm really pushing it. I'm also stressed out to the max. I keep telling myself that I'll get through this SOON. My big project will be over SOON, but not tonight, even after the marathon session.
I've written plenty of procedures and documents and reported on all sorts of things, it's what I was trained to do in college. I've never had to document a product that is still unfinished, and changes like the shifting sands. One day this is in place, next day they've made a new decision and it's totally different! Back to the drawing board. Plus, I've got a great group of people who are good testers, but have never written a document like this in their life. I keep trying to tell them what I need and what I want, but it's hard to give them the same vision I have. Not a one of them has used Pagemaker, either. I'm on my own.
Dinner tonight: We have this coffee machine, The FLAVIA, that makes these individual cups of coffee out of these little filter packs. It also does hot chocolate, too. If you hit the right button, it will make a cappuccino - using only half of the water, a concentrated half-cup, if you will. So I got experimental. Two concentrated dark roasts, plus two concentrated coco packs plus some non-dairy creamer and sugar.
This was at 8:00. I am still f-in' wired. And I hate coffee.
I did get a chance to read all of the posts that replied to my religious questions from this morning. Miraculously, the "Websense" ban at work over livejournal disappeared. Good thing too, I was able to get the link to
chicagowoof's music streams and rock the night away!
It's fun to see all of the philosophers come out and comment! I'll be getting back to many of your thoughts, but not...right...now.
