Scary things seen on TV: Tivo was trying to pick up Brini Maxwell lat night, but instead found Craft Corner Deathmatch. I'm totally scared by this show. It's totally Martha stewart meets Thunderdome. It also has the worst host ever. Anyone who can keep that amount of "let's get ready to rumble"-ness up over hot glue guns needs to be committed.

Unfortunately, no one died on this episode. There wasn't even a tacking wound. I feel cheated.

Otherwise, FOX, network of occasional good ideas that we'll cancel in order to bring you more hours of American Idol and the Littlest Groom has cancelled Tru Calling. It's not that the Elisa Dushku show was a big winner, but it was more interesting than most of the stuff on TV. Oh well, they didn't even start the second season until a couple of weeks ago, and to no fanfare...I just found it on my Tivo.

Now the wait for the notice of the cancellation of Arrested Development continues...

I wish my DirectTV had the Style network so I can see "Brini Maxwell"... now my friend... well acquaintence, Miss Coco Peru HATES Brini!

I think that show, "Craft Corner Deathmatch" looks fun!

Hmm, hates Brini because she was successful enough to get a low-budget show on a little seen cable channel? I guess if you must...

I think they show the same eight episodes over and over.

Style isn't much of a channel, really most of the shows are wastes of time, but you have to give it to them for at least trying to stand out.

Fred and I got so addicted to that craft show one afternoon. I just can't explain it!

It's all about Amber the lethargic assistant, it really is.

To add insult to injury, they will be running Simple Life: Interns in place lf Tru Calling next week.

Yeah, but you have heard the publicity stunt they've done to keep that show alive...well, at least Nicole Ritchie knows what she's done. Looks like that show's about ready to go, as well.

FOX is going to loose out to the WB pretty soon - at least in that 18-24 demo.

"A Life Less Ordinary" is an awesome song. It was also my breakup song of last summer. Sigh.

Yeah, I caught on to Carbon Leaf due to their "here's a bunch of free downloads" thing last year that Chris let me know about (which I wouldn't be surprised if you told him about it). It's nice stuff. A couple of the Sirius channels have been playing "A Life Less Ordinary" lately, so I guess they are trying to make a push on the charts.

Craft Corner Deathmatch is wrong on SO many different levels. Like [livejournal.com profile] kenlin, my DirecTV doesn't carry style. However, I did get to watch an episode or 2 at Chris ([livejournal.com profile] imroger) and Joey's ([livejournal.com profile] profundojoe) house a couple weekends ago.

"Um, hello? WWF? Yeah, I found that announcer you guys reported missing a few weeks ago... Yeah. Uh-Huh. Yeah, he defected over to the Style network, and somewhere along the way he ripped off the old set from BattleBots and the lightkit from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Regis wants that back!"

Well, alleged felons can't get the Style Network. Oh yeah, "they" know. That's why you can't have nice things.

The audience has been unfrozen from American Gladiators

The whole thing is a bit overt the top. I guess they are trying to create interest because of it, but really, it's hard to artificially create that. The reason people loved Iron Chef was due to the cultural and language barrier. The American version, despite William Shatner, was trash.

I do like Amber the lethargic assistant, though.
