Death Is In The Air
Apr. 22nd, 2005 08:35 amScary things seen on TV: Tivo was trying to pick up Brini Maxwell lat night, but instead found Craft Corner Deathmatch. I'm totally scared by this show. It's totally Martha stewart meets Thunderdome. It also has the worst host ever. Anyone who can keep that amount of "let's get ready to rumble"-ness up over hot glue guns needs to be committed.
Unfortunately, no one died on this episode. There wasn't even a tacking wound. I feel cheated.
Otherwise, FOX, network of occasional good ideas that we'll cancel in order to bring you more hours of American Idol and the Littlest Groom has cancelled Tru Calling. It's not that the Elisa Dushku show was a big winner, but it was more interesting than most of the stuff on TV. Oh well, they didn't even start the second season until a couple of weeks ago, and to no fanfare...I just found it on my Tivo.
Now the wait for the notice of the cancellation of Arrested Development continues...

Yeah, he defected over to the Style network, and somewhere along the way he ripped off the old set from BattleBots and the lightkit from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Regis wants that back!"

The whole thing is a bit overt the top. I guess they are trying to create interest because of it, but really, it's hard to artificially create that. The reason people loved Iron Chef was due to the cultural and language barrier. The American version, despite William Shatner, was trash.
I do like Amber the lethargic assistant, though.
