If anyone thought I was faking being sick yesterday (which I was) they'll have to get through the vail of tiredness of me driving both ways yesterday to surprise Chris for Valentines Day. While I'll pay for it today, looking like hell warmed over, it was worth it to see how surprised Chris was. That was my gift to him, just my presence (and giving Joey the dog some exercise as I waited for him to come home for dinner).

Sadly, I never got a hold of my sister yesterday, to wish her a happy birthday. I also think I'm going to need to get the XTerra's suspension looked at, I'm bouncing around an awful lot in that car. The Sirius radio makes the long drive much more bearable.

I'm going to miss the Kroger Valentine's ads with the cowboy holding the flowers behind his back. You never see who he's going to give them to, so you can always imagine that he'll be giving them to some other lucky cowboy. Luckier than the people working at Kroger at 2am this morning (I needed to get some milk for this morning) who were moving all of the unbought V-D candy out for the Easter goodies.

I still have the memory of a very happy, and surprised boyfriend, and that's what makes a great day.

I can't believe that they are predicting a high of 80 degrees today. What the hell is this summer going to be like?

Hehe! I did something kind of like that last Valentine's Day, except that I flew to Florida instead of driving there. ;) Surprising people is always so much fun.

That was a very sweet thing to do for Chris on Valentine's. Hope you don't catch too much crap at work over it if they do find out. I wanted to bail on work to spend the evening with my huz but there wasn't anyone who could cover for me. I ended up spending 2 extra hours OT instead. We have a long weekend coming up next week (Alberta Stat Holiday) so I'll do something then.
HUGS

I was able to do the exact same thing to Roger. I showed up at his work to pick him up without any forewarning. And the look of surprise and love, was just so incredible. I can imagine that Chris's response was similar.

He was taken aback when I called him to wish him a happy Valentine's Day at work over the Help Desk line, then asked him if he had plans for lunch, and he came to the realization that I wasn't just asking to be friendly. He laughed and called me a bastard - it was funny!

He certainly didn't expect it as he has spoken to me as I was driving back to my apartment in Houston the night before from my parents' house.

I couldn't just enter his office - security and all, but still, the shock was enough, and it really brightened his day. I'm sure Roger really loved his surprise too!

Can't wait to see you guys at TBRU!
