Yes, keep your expectations low, but by the responses you're getting... I expect you'll be planning trips to some other events once this one is over! P.S. I forget, I do poorly in large crowds as well, but alway manage to have fun at these types of events.
Don't I though. I'm just entering new territory and I'm not the type to say that I'm going in to conquor eveything like Cortez in the new world. I tend to look where I fit in, then expand from there. Live Journal seems to be no different.
It is kinda sad that I'm having to work to convince myself that I'll have a good time. Nervousness.
