Thanks. I'm hoping I'll have a good time, but I'll have to find my niche. I do poorly in large crowds, so hopefully I'll meet a couple of people to talk to and show me the way around the event.

I'm trying to drop expectations so I can just enjoy the time there.

I usually go with minimal to no expectations and usually have the most fun that way ....

I usually FIND my most fun in the hospitality suite ... but it's not the place where *I*'m the most comfortable either ...

One of the events which they don't advertise any more, but which I assume will be happening - and is to me - the HIGHLIGHT of the weekend is the Video Showtunes at Moby's on Sunday afternoon ... The trick being that it usually runs until 8pm or so ... so I usually plan to come home on Monday ...

When ARE you going up and coming back? Maybe we can share the ride.

This could be a good thing. I'm planing to go after work Thursday, and return on Monday. I really want to drive though, because i may take a side trip to visit my sister - and because I like to drive!

I'm hoping there'll be and LJ party to get to meet everyone together - I don't know if I'll get the chance to bump into everyone!

Yes, keep your expectations low, but by the responses you're getting... I expect you'll be planning trips to some other events once this one is over! P.S. I forget, I do poorly in large crowds as well, but alway manage to have fun at these types of events.

Don't I though. I'm just entering new territory and I'm not the type to say that I'm going in to conquor eveything like Cortez in the new world. I tend to look where I fit in, then expand from there. Live Journal seems to be no different.

It is kinda sad that I'm having to work to convince myself that I'll have a good time. Nervousness.

Well, I doubt that I'll be able to get out before 5:30. Times are tight at work. Still, I've delt with traffic before.
