Trapped Little Voices

eggwardsThere's a few Voice Messages on my phone. The other day, Chris tried to surprise me with a "Happy Lunch" call and got a message that my mailbox is full. Verizon, in all it's mystery, allows for 20 saved voicemails. Now I have a bad habit of just hanging up on the voicemail, instead of waiting for the cue to actually delete the message. Without intervention, 21 days later it will come back, wishing for you to make a decision to delete it or not.
I have about 10 rolling messages that are on a kind of "permanently saved" basis. I get to hear them again every few days. While not all of them, here's a small rundown of them:
* A re-assuring message from![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mattycub telling me that things will be OK.
* A message frombobaloo about my last April Fools Day post. He laughs like the Joker.
*t8r singing "Hello, Darlin'", quite loudly I might add.
* From my trip to Chicago,blithwulf telling me they had finished playing role-playing games while I was exploring the city with grande.
* From the 2003 TBRU trip,lostncove asking me, "What's the -uh- tally, Bear Icon?"
* A message fromoakleycub telling me he has a job interview in the morning, and that he loves me.
Their just some little reminders of friends and times that I keep around for posterity. Good stuff and memories.
I'm packing, and then going to work. Tonight I'll brave the holiday weekend traffic to go see Chris in Dallas. Who's going to be around? Are there any big pool parties I can get all weird at? Who's up for dancing?
