After work, I went out with Tank as his wife went out to babysit for cash. He's teaching some students now, teaching lower brass instruments for middle schoolers. It's not regular work or anything, but at least he's helping, since before his wife has been paying for everything since his layoff in 2001.

We ate at BW-3, the sports bar, watching some hockey and basketball (basketball sucks). I was mopping him up on the trivia, and handily beating the restaurant, too. Normally there's some regulars at the bar that play pretty hard. The location typically is one of the top trivia-playing locations in the country. I was happy that my score ranked 34th in North America (that includes Canada, eh!).

Yeah, I know, big deal.

So here we are watching football coaches press conferences (slow sports day, these cable channels will so just about anything), and they change the channel to The Bachelor. This show is so sad, but there's a large crowd that has shown up to watch, both women and men. I'll tell you, I don't get Bob's appeal, and I don't see the women as being much to write home about either. A large portion of the show was about meeting the family of this one contestant. Her family looked a little, well, challenged.

I guess I wasn't surprised that she was the one voted off at the end of the show (which was met with many, many catcalls from the audience especially from the guys). I'm pretty sure Bob looked at her family and said you know, my DNA isn't that great anyway, I better let her go.

Well, I can still be proud about knowing more about spooky places than most of the trivia playing people on this continent.

Love playing NTN when I'm out at the bar or something.

I don't play nearly as much as I used to. I played it more when I was working at the pub. After shift, we'd all belly up to the bar and play for hours.

I love NTN. We go to the BW3 at Royal Oaks or Westchase or whatever it is now and play from time to time.

I flipped back and forth between Bachelor and something else last night. I don't watch it very often, but I wish he would have picked Meredith over some of the others.

You might actually like Tank. He's a strawberry blond who's 6'3" and around 400 pounds. I can't say that I'm attracted to him.

I play when I see it, and yes, it is addictive. It kind of stops conversation, but then it also can start a new one. I've amassed about 750,000 player's plus points in my 8 years of playing it. One of the guys at the bar has 25 million points!

I've seen you mentioning going out to play NTN before. I've always try to find out where you and Robert went to play, and possibly drop in and say hello.

As for the Bachelor, I couldn't hear the sound, so all I had to go on what I saw, and it seemed like he made the right cut, but the whole thing seemed so silly. Do any of these people have any designs more than just being on Television?
