Everyone I know has a big "but"

Yesterday the upper management gathered all of the supervisors (that weren't on vacation) together and handed us the new job description sheet that will go into effect in the fourth quarter. the good news is that I will get overtime pay again...
BUT
The new title is Team Lead, not Team Leader, just Team Lead. This, plus the overtime thing means one thing. Demotion. Sure, they didn't put it this way. The PC answers, the talking around the actual issue, it happens at all levels. We asked questions, do salaries stay the same? (yes) Job duties? (mostly) But we shied away from the big question...since we already knew the answer.
If you're earning overtime pay, you're not management. So they are doing away with an entire level of management. So I drop down to the same level as the people I currently evaluate, and then I can't even do that. You have to be management to give reviews.
Apparently this helps us align with our sister company and their corporate structure. Guess what, we're taking over their customer service center. They are integrating with us, shouldn't we get to keep our structure?
I talked with some of the othersupervisors team leads and none of us like it. Screaming Amy disappeared for two hours. I felt like going to, but she left me as the only sup-team lead in the area. Trust me, they won't be getting anything extra out of me now.
So you still want me to do front line management, without being management? I'm thinking that the little nagging voice that has been telling me to start doing that job search has just become a roar. I wish I wasn't such a procrastinator.
Anyone got any leads? It looks like it's time to move on.

I'm a "Chief Engineer" (official job title is Senior Software Engineer), and I get to deal with all the bs project management and ersatz supervisory issues without being a supervisor.
