I have a cold that made me end up sleeping for most of the afternoon. I'm still totally groggy.

Dad apparently has given Mom and email account. I think I'm scarred, but I also wonder who she would actually email besides Laura and I. She was telling me over diner that dad has given her a log in to his computer, which is good, as it will keep her away from the porn on it. Mom goes and tells me her process for how she came up with her password, then tells me her password, which Dad and I then have to tell her not to give out.

I'm not sure she's ready for this.

I saw the pictures of all the snow up in the midwest and the northeast. I have no idea how you guys put up with it. I was cold last night in my coat talking to people on the patio of the Ripcord. Kip and I were out there looking at the new St. Andrews Cross that had been installed there. Jerry was buzzing about too. The funny thing was, here I was, critiquing this bondage device, the wood, the finish, the eyebolts, having never even been in a bondage scene, but I guess from seeing a little porn, suddenly I felt I could say that a few 2x4s put together and tacked up to a fence didn't really make a quality S&M device.

Of course it was too cold for anyone to actually give it a whirl...and that someone certainly wouldn't be me.

Otherwise, I got hit on by a troll, shutting me down for the night. Whee. I wasn't really looking for anything but to get out for the night, and I attract the wacko of the evening. Yeah. Too bad I didn't sneeze all over him.

Of course, the thoughts of actual snow make me think of my sister up in Baltimore, and my Dad said that he had heard from her last night. I called and got Ed tonight, and found that a week and a half after getting to Baltimore their furniture and clothes still haven't arrived. They have been having trouble getting the moving van company to tell them where their stuff is. It was supposed to be there on the 13th, and then they said it would be last Monday, and later in the middle of last week, but even now, they don't know where the truck, or where their clothes and stuff is.

It's like losing your luggage, but many times worse. Ed can't even look for a job because he hasn't got anything to wear to an interview. They've literally been camping in their new apartment, and Laura's been going to work at her new job. Ed's been trying to find what legal pressures he can place on the moving company. It's almost theft now.

It's lucky that they like Baltimore, because moving there so far hasn't been good.

It's interesting to notice that tomorrow there will be a big new report about global warming coming out. They really should put these reports out in the summer when they will have more impact. The day after blizzards isn't very convincing.
