The remnants of Hurricane Ivan came back into the gulf, and became a tropical storm over the last couple of days. We were supposed to get some rain from it, but it looks like we didn't get a drop. The storm came in in southwestern Louisiana, further east as expected. After trying to scare Lisa all day yesterday about this storm, today we'll talk about what didn't happen.

Houston floods like nobody's business, so we take rain seriously here. Lisa lives close to Galveston Bay, so storm surges and rain can be troubling. A week ago, when Hurricane Ivan was coming up the Gulf, she was worried that it would take a wild left turn and hit us. Of course these remnants are supposed to float across Houston and slide back into the gulf, allowing it to re-form again. Ugh. The storm that won't go away.

At least it should be a little cooler.

Well, it could be much, much worse. Hurricane Jeanne does a loop-de-loop and is bearing down on Florida. What a crazy hurricane season this has been.
