My Inner Martha
Aug. 30th, 2003 08:00 pmObviously I'm paying much more attention to Chris,
oakleycub on his birthday, but I'd be remiss in not wishing John,
jtinstc a happy birthday as well.
Last night's party was a lot of fun. We raced cars, we played putt-putt, (both Chris and I shot a 43, but since it was his birthday, so he won) and we played games. Matty
mattycub and Chris played several rounds of Dance Dance Revolution, and I tried it along with my sister, Laura, and against her boyfriend, Ed. Ed, being the only straight male at the party seemed a bit comedically uncomfortable as was taking a lot of ribbing from the rest of us, including Laura.
We also had Paul, Dana Cameron and Travis,
verucacub, join us. Two observations: I hope Travis liked the party since I can only remember him playing a game of X-Men. We did have a moment to talk and I asked how he was doing. If we had gone out to eat, we might have had more than just a few words on the golf course. The other observation, Chris knows a lot of Daddybear types. They're funny and nice, but I don't think that a place like Speedzone was for them. At the end, it was Laura, Ed, Matty, Chris and I leaving at about 12:30. Chris was dripping with sweat from a lot of DDR.
Coming back home, we were both tired. Somewhere along the way, in all of the talk I managed to ask Chris that out of all of the people and great guys he knows, he would want to go out with me. There wasn't really an answer, just a reassuring hug and kiss. I just couldn't believe that I'm so lucky to have Chris in my life, and I think he saw that because of the tears streaming down my cheeks. (Geez, how many times have I cried in this journal?)
I told him, each time I see him, my love for him gets deeper.
Today we just slept in late (heh), and went to the Gaybourhood for lunch and window shopping ("Everybody goes to ...The Gaybourhood" should have been that Madonna song). Just hanging out, Chris has read several chapters of "Naked Empire" by Terry Goodkind, which was my gift to him.
Time to go get cleaned up for a romantic dinner. I brought the suit and everything. Hopefully it will be nice.
Signed, the good boyfriend.
