Quality is job 1
Apr. 30th, 2003 11:38 amWell, since my attempt to make an entry from home crapped out on me, I decided that I'd try downloading a client at work. I thought I'd be blocked...but no!
I'm blocked from seeing LJ at work, but apparently they hadn't thought of blocking the sites to download a client. Ha! Vengeance is mine
This little puppy doesn't have spell check, though, so I'm going to be misspelling a whole lot of words. My spelling is atrocious.
Funny...This client doesn't (Vision or something for this dang PC) doesn't seem to have a place to enter an title for this post. I'll have to try to find that. (UPDATE: found it!)
What I was writing about this morning...Today, being the end of the month, is the day I have to finish the quality scores. It's going to be a late night, since I haven't done a lot of work on this yet. I have to pull phone calls for all of my reps (they let me have 4 more, thatI got to hand select from other groups to fill-in for the 5 that left), that's 18 right now, plus sample transactions for each of them. I'll be sampling around 150 transactions.
One thing I hate is our standards. They were imposed on us by the outside companies that also judge our quality, National Quality Review, and when we could afford their services, Dalbar, the company
buzzwords and
figarobear work for. They are not always the best gauges for what we do, and are not tailored to our needs, but they are how the company is judged, so we use them.
The problem is our new system. For the last two months we have not done quality numbers because we were learning the new system. This is our first attempt. the new work distribution system is supposed to give me my sample items automagically, but it doesn't quite work right. Items keep popping up that have no information on who processed it or why. I'm not sure yet if it's user error (likely) or just the system sucks (also likely).
I hate this new system. I think we should get our money back for being sold a bill of goods. They promised efficiency and ease-of-use, and we got nether. Bring back the old system.
I'll probably see home in another 8 hours or so...
