Last weekend I asked for picture suggestions for the "Three Pictures Meme" and now I have the results! Since I only have a limited time, I'll put up the first part now, and the second part later tonight.

These pics can be a little large, so I'll have to put them behind a cut...

Cameron, [livejournal.com profile] handlebear asked for:

1. The Houston Light Rail...

2. My living room

3. The building where I work, which is 11 Greenway Plaza, in Houston, which looks exactly like 9 Greenway Plaza, next to it.

Troy, [livejournal.com profile] clovisbear asked for the Spanish Inquisition...

And he wanted..,

1)A picture of your left calf...preferably unclothed, but I dont know if that goes against the no-nudity-rule

2) Something uniquely Houston that is not a person.

It's the Houston Art Cat CAR Parade, which happens every year. This is a tribute to road work, also very houston.

3) hmmm....well ideally I would love to see a pic of you in a beard again....but that would take awhile to get so I will go with.....a pic of you doing somthing REALLY geeky.

I have the beard pic, I'll try to get the geeky pic on the second round...

More later!

The light Rail opened in January, and that picture, because I forgot to get my pic on the server this morning, was one of the first train leaving the station. It runs from the Astrodome to UH Downtown...a total of about seven miles - sort of useful, and mostly not. The rail line is best known for running into things (if you look carefully at the art car pic, you'll see a part labeled "Metro Rail". It's had about 70 accidents since it started up.

93Q is a country station, and has been for about 10 years, maybe more. Very few stations do much more than concert tickets these days.

I think that John Lander has been in Boston for about 15 years. Literal AGES. 104 became the top 40 station and has been for a long time. Really, radio sucks major ass in Houston.

Yep, it just opened in January. Hitting everything in it's path. They decided to put it at street level!

Haha, love the art car! (and art *cat* too ;)
What's the crap around the light rail? Some Halloween banners or somethin? Or is that the viscera of an art car that it's hit? ;p

I found you randomly... but nice pictures. I used to live in Yoakum TX... and went with my mom and stepfather to pick his kids up from Houston quite often...

Thanks, that, coming from you, says quite a lot, since I admire your photos greatly. That was taken from the parking garage a block away, and there's a building between, as you see on the left. It's in Greenway Plaza, one of Houston's many "mini downtowns". The clouds and light worked well to make it work, rather than just being a big box picture.

I took several pics in Downtown Houston that I'm packaging up...lots of shadows and light. I'll have them up soon.

That's quite a nice pic of you -- shows your smile off well.

I will also admit that I didn't even KNOW about the light rail system. You think, with it hitting as many things as it does, that we'd have heard SOMETHING about it.

(If you get hit by it, can you get on the train for free? ^o^)

And the Spanish Inquisition ... well, what can I say about the Spanish Inquisition? Other than the fact that I'm surprised you didn't go for the SI scene in History of the World, Part I ...

Thanks. I kind of like the pic...it's taken off of my balcony here at the apartment.

The train hits. I don't know if there's a reward for it.
