Have you ever had the chicken fried steak from Lulu's in San Antonio? I don't eat CFS but I hear theirs is the best around, and it's about the size of a pizza.

No, I haven't. I've been to plenty of places where the CFS falls off the plate - way too much for me. The Black-Eyed Pea restaurants do about the best CFS around, though Chris took me to this place in Dallas called Tin Star that had a great Jalapeno Gravy.

You'll have to take me to Lulu's the next time I'm in SA.

Definitely. It has the advantages of:

1) Being open 24/7 except for Friday nights / Saturday mornings when they observe sabbath.

2) Being close to The Eagle.

3) Having a night supervisor guy who is 6+ feet tall, beefy and blonde, who makes me swoon.

okay...

1) You must explain the "eating an apple in front of you" thing. I am fascinated.

2) That powerlifter in that commercial is my new lover. Holy fuckerpants.

Well, I've gotten better about being able to watch people eat things that I hate - it used to be that it all made me a little sick, something psychosomatic, I guess. I've gotten better at it, but I still have a problem with watching someone eating an apple, or similar thing - like the Iron Chef host biting the onion...yikes.

Strangely, I like Apple Pie. Like ketchup, in a different form, it's not so bad.

I've heard that if you hold your nose and bite an onion, it tastes just like an apple...

...wait... I guess that doesn't help you any.

Oh, and it's Gateway. I loves me some Shane Hamman.

Battle of the Networks (a real board game where you would create a week of TV network programming)

Oh. My. GOD.

ANOTHER "Get Out Of my HEAD" citing! I thought I was the only one that liked this board game when I was a kid....unfortunately, my copy got sold in a garage sale...

What did you think of Careers?

Date: 2004-08-11 06:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] eggwards.livejournal.com
I'm not sure if that was the correct name of the game, but yeah, you know what I'm talking about. Man, that's an obscure game. I didn't expect anyone to know it. Yeah, I lost my gameboard a long time ago. I'd love to find it again.

I had Careers, too, and liked it, but right now I can't remember how to play it.

Yeah, I'm a Mac Zealot. I didn't know how much I was until Chris pointed out that I mention it so much that it's annoying! I love my Macs!

I'm so lame. Now that I've read in your journal that somewhere out there, there's a commercial with a powerlifter in it, I want to keep my tv on at all times!
