Too Pissed for a Subject

eggwardsWell, I don't usually post mid-day, but I came home for lunch, and a little R&R, because I'm pissed about work. Why?
I bust my butt to come back to work today, including making sure to pick up breakfast for the team (because it was my turn in the rotation yet again) and what happens? My boss calls in.
I'm really mad that the boss, who stayed in town for New Years decides to take a day off (as did some othersupervisors team leads), but I find my way to be the responsible one and come 268 miles to be here for the company. I'm in charge today, and I have to make sure the work gets done. Damn company.
We (Matty, Skye, Chris, others) were joking about calling in and staying in Dallas for the weekend. i said, no, I can't do that. I need to get things done, and their counting on me to be there.
So I'm going to make lunch, sit on the couch for a while and watch "Hush", the Buffy episode that Tivo captured. That'll show 'em.
They're so not worth my efforts today. I'm only returning (later) because I am responsible to those who work for me (and the other supervisors who aren't around). They didn't call in, either.
