eggwardsOh goodness. The Space Shuttle Columbia has broken up re-entering the atmosphere over Texas. 7 astronauts were on board. I didn't even know that there was one up right now.
Now they are warning Dallas citizens that debris may fall on them. My God!
I remember when moon landings, and shuttle launches were a facination for me and many others, especially living here in Houston. The Challenger explosion was a major event to me.
Columbia was the oldest in the fleet. I remember doing a Science Fair project on Shuttle technology in Jr. High. I had plastic models of Columbia and all.
This is very sad.
