Hug: I know that moving sucks, unless you have someone paying for a moving company. I've had the best and worst of both worlds more than once.


What I have learned:

If you have helper buddies, keep them well fed and put a 12 pack of brewskies in the fridge at new place beforehand...

I/We feel your pain.

I usually keep a few of the pants hangers around for jeans. Several years ago, I started taking the plain metal ones back to the cleaners for them to recycle/reuse.

Well, I wasn't getting off on those hangers, that's for sure.

You know, i still have the calender you created last year, and it's stuck on December. I wish that there was a new one for 2006. Perhaps another austin trip needs to be celebrated?

Yep. I thought that this was as good a time as any to make the change, and get a ton of plastic hangers that I've already gone through now. I have to go buy more to finish off all the shirts. The pants are still staying with the wire ones with the little cardboard roll on them.

I'm trying to get movers, but it's hard to do on short notice. Personally neither I nor any of my friends wants to move two solid mahogany dressers down three flights of stairs.

Friends will be helping me out this upcoming weekend, boxing up stuff and cleaning. so yes, I'll have to take care of them.
