Here in Dallas. Weather's been crappy all weekend, and I'm afraid my mood has bee too. I've been sort of a zombie and it's hard to explain why everything's as grey as the skies, and maybe a little cool, too.

I took today off (I'll be making it up by working Saturday) so I could see a neurologist about my back problems. He told me pretty much what I already knew, one of my disks in my back is degenerating, and has either bulged or torn, irritating the nerve, but it's been getting better. I've certainly been better since it flared up around Thanksgiving and in December, but it's still bugging me from time to time, especially when I stand.

Well, the doctor told me my best bet was to exercise and lose weight. Well there was a total surprise. I had never heard that from a doctor before and I'm glad that the company's insurance money and my $20 co-pay could go to tell me that. In a way, I am relived that it's not something a lot worse, something that I might need surgery for. I guess that was my main worry.

Otherwise, Chris and I haven't done much this weekend, we watched the old Tales in the City mini-series, which was new to me, which makes me want to go to San Francisco even more. I guess I like lots of guys have a bit of a romanticized vision of the city. I always ask Chris about different places and things I hear, since he's a Bay Area native.

Otherwise, We had dinner with Cameron on Saturday night and got a chance to drop by Zeus, and today as I picked Chris up for lunch I met Matty's dad, who works at the same place Chris does. He was shorter that I expected, but that's not to surprising, a lot of people are. I always find it surprising that 6 foot 1 inch is actually tall sometimes.

Lastly, The Dallas Eagle was going to be our last destination on Saturday, but unfortunately they were having a leather contest that eveining and charging $15 to get in (per person). Yikes! I was curious on what would cost that much, and even though I wanted to show off my leather suspenders, we declined and went home. Porn is cheaper. Oh well. Truly, the contest haqd a crowd, but man, they could have used a sponsor or something.
