Your Place Or Mine?

So here's an odd predicament to be in.

Chris (oakleycub) and I have vowed to be together tomorrow night at midnight. The problem is, we don't know where.

I'm working tomorrow. I probably won't get off until 5. Higher management has been making us come in early so we won't be too late tomorrow, but still, it's year end, and we have to get everything we can finished. I then have to turn around and be back at work on Friday at 8:00 with breakfast for the team. Screaming Amy already got the day off, so I can't do that as well. Chris doesn't know if he will be scheduled or called in for work. He's on an as needed basis.

So that leaves us in a pinch. Do I drive to Dallas for one night and turn back around, or can Chris swing down to Houston instead? I'm hesitant to make Chris spend a lot of money when he has bills to pay, and he doesn't want to make me drive all the way back just hours after I've arrived.

All this, plus Matty's getting some friends together in Dallas for the evening, that certainly beats my plans here in Houston. I have no idea what we'd do. I don't think the Ripcord really says "Happy New Year". Just a thought.

I'll have a bag packed and ready. I'm waiting for Chris' call tomorrow to tell me which way to go. If he decides to come here though, I probably need to clean house a bit.

Still, I have someone to kiss when the clock strikes twelve. One way or another, we'll make it into the new year together.
