Monday Morning Randomness
Nov. 3rd, 2003 09:29 amI definitely cannot eat hot wings two nights in a row. My stomach is tossing and turning, and I have my parents to thank for it. I went to BW3 with Hans on Saturday night (and they had the football play along game on instead of trivia) as his wife was out at a sorority slumber party (We saw School of Rock afterwards, which was good). Sunday night found the football play along on as well, so no trivia goodness. I like football, but the game, try to guess the next play, is boring and lasts too long. No thanks. BW3's Hot BBQ sauce rocks, but only going in. Ugh. it's fun to try to cool things down with the potatoes with the cajun spices.
I finally hung up some pictures in the new apartment - it's looking much more homey now.
I spoke to David,
scotbear, last night for a couple of hours, talking about all sorts of things. The main thing was looking at buying a kilt from him. He has a red one already made that I'm thinking about...if it's not right, I'll get him to make a custom one for me. He's a costume designer at Minnesota State University (if you're nice, he might make a Halloween costume for you), and I met him through
schnitz_mi at BearWatch in Galveston back in May. Even then I talked about getting a kilt, now I may actually do something about it. It would work well with my still incomplete Renaissance Fair wear.
Speaking of wearing stuff, I keep thinking of saving some money for a leather harness. It's silly, the thing serves no real purpose, but I think they look cool, and I think I'd like the feel of it. I tried one on a month or so ago (it was John's), and it didn't totally fit, but it was cool. Chris has said that they don't really do anything for him, so there's one strike against, and I'm totally worried that all it will do is increase the prominence of my not-so-fit chest. Think manboobs, they're not terribly bad really (sorry, I don't have a good picture, you'll have to trust me here), but putting on something that works a bit like an 18 Hour Bra may not be the way to go. I'll keep thinking about it.
Hooray to JC Penny for delivery of my new clothes - all bought online, and on clearance. I'm so smart. Now I just need some new sneakers.
Today, Partly Cloudy, 75 degrees, with a high of 84 expected. It's an endless summer!
