The Money is Flowing, a bit.
Oct. 30th, 2003 10:29 pmA few things are finally starting to look up at work. There's the slight prospect that we may get cost of living raises starting next year. Maybe 2% like we had a couple of years ago, my last raise.
Also, the company Holiday party has returned. The first time in three years. The company must be making some money somewhere since they decided to rent the new Toyota Center downtown. That's the new basketball/hockey arena. I don't know if it will be like 1999 when we took over the Museum of Fine Arts. there was a full meal and open bars. Man we were doing well then, and you got to hob-nob with the founders of the company. Now that they've left, I guess there's a CEO that will be there in the founder's place.
Lastly, there's the new guy, Brodie. He's moved a few rows away from another floor. Man he's cute. He unfortunately appeared with his wife and kid the other day, but he's still some nice eye-candy. He's about 5-10, with a nice small belly pooch, a receding hairline clipped very short, and a real nice, full beard. Yes!
I had to apologize to Brodie for the behavior of one of my associates, who decided to spew an butt load of profanity in Spanish. I welcomed him to the floor and was being so nice about it, while naughty things played through my head. Ouch! oh well, we'll keep it professional. I can drool at my desk.
