Randomness on a Monday Night
Oct. 20th, 2003 11:22 pmA couple of little tidbits from the last couple of days:
Today the debate at work was, can you put Peanut Butter and Jelly on any other bread than white (or Wonder) bread? The debate raged as Greg was being a bread snob and was saying that he couldn't eat white bread. John, who had the sandwich sat there and munched away after dissing Greg with a "your crazy" look. Others of us argued, with myself taking the White Bread Only stance. Most of us couldn't see the timeless favorite on Rye or a dark wheat, but there were possibilities for a light honey wheat.
Otherwise, a project I wanted to do got pushed up in timetable and since I was out on Friday, it was given to Screaming Amy. I'm of mixed emotions as the time for completion moved from nine months (which I was prepared for), to the next eight weeks. Although I'm mad that I lost the project, simply because they wanted to be responsible for it on Friday, but I'm glad that I won't have the pressure that upper management will be putting on Amy. Good and Bad, I guess.
Just another thing, yesterday, after we were shopping Chris and I came back to his house and he ran upstairs and I started to watch the Jets vs. Texans. i think this might have been Chris' first experience in being a football widow.
Really, I would have gone upstairs too if I knew Chris was going to go nap, I thought he was going to come back down. Of course, as I'm watching the game, I fall asleep on the couch. chris came down later and said, "We're like an old married couple, sleeping in two different rooms!" Oh brother.
Last thing for the evening...VH1 has the 80's strike back, and they were just taking about Hula-Hula the TV sidekick of Plasticman. I had a frat brother that we also called Hula-Hula, strangely he was Hispanic, but he'd look Polynesian. Now I'm sure that would be considered offensive to call a character that.
