New and Improved

Does anyone really need two hours of "Joe Millionaire"?
Today was the first day on the new systems. It was a messed up day. Normally, we'd be off on President's Day, but not today. I'm guessing that we were working at less than 10% of our old capacity. The bad thing, is that I'm as clueless as the reps are. We're trying to work through things the best we can. We decided to call it a day at 5 - we know it's going to be a long week.
The Music Man was really nice last night. In an unusual move, they really didn't change anything, staying strictly to the book. Most TV or movie musicals make changes due to the medium. It was nice that they didn't mess with a good thing. The kid playing Winthrop was well cast. Bad thing is, Meredith Wilson writes the worst lines for the boy. There terrible, and have too many ethes in them. Still, I know all of the songs. I'd lobe to play Harold Hill one day, it's a great role, and I love his ultimate desire of wanting to lead the band.
Since I had some unexpected time this evening, I went over to the Apple Store and put in my order for the new iMac today, and it should be here in about two weeks. Yes, it's an expense, but I think the pros outweigh the cons. I'll be paying on it for a while.
Lastly, I left off a plate from my post yesterday, and that's fraternity. Yeah, it is a part of my friends, but there are some other duties that go with it. I show up to some of the activities of the active members of the fraternity over at the University of Houston. Helping them with ritual, problems, providing support, etc. I also have run a branch of the alumni organization. We don't do to much anymore, but we used to be very active. The active members have asked me to speak at a meeting in March. I don't know the topic, but I'm honored to be considered for such a role. I'll have to work something up soon.
Tired, time to eat some dinner and get some rest tonight.
