Jan. 30th, 2003 08:44 amMy nerves are wearing thin. I had to run a meeting yesterday that I proved that I had no business running. I was struggling to prepare for it, and deal with the fact that with all of the new systems traning, people being sick, and another supervisor having her house broken into, we were very understaffed.
Still, I managed to get the commitment I needed from those in the meeting. I don't know how I did it. Let's see if they deliver. They are good people, but everyone has been worn down by work lately.
Management, the art of pretending you know what you're doing, while knowing just a little of what others are doing.
