2002 was good for music, despite some falling record sales. I stole the idea of making a list from [livejournal.com profile] invisiblebear, who produced his own about a week ago. I won't comment on each song, but I did add a note or two.

Yes, most of them are in the pop-rock genre, but there's a couple of country and rap songs too. I'm trying to see if I can make a Quick-Time stream (sort of like [livejournal.com profile] chicagowoof's streaming songs), but don't hold your breath!

Also, I limited it to one song per artist. I could fill this list with Coldplay songs.

On to the list )

Maybe it's much too early in the game
But I thought I'd ask you just the same
What are you doing New Year's
New Year's eve?

Wonder whose arms will hold you good and tight
When it's exactly twelve o'clock that night
Welcoming in the New Year
New Year's eve

Maybe I'm crazy to suppose
I'd ever be the one you chose
Out of a thousand invitations
You received

But in case I stand one little chance
Here comes the jackpot question in advance
What are you doing New Year's
New Year's eve?
