The Two Towers

eggwardsSo I saw the movie and it is in-cred-i-ble! I loved it. All of those History Channel specials about medieval warfare came into play. Matt and Lisa enjoyed it, but I don't think they got as much out of it. I was just enthralled by the grandure of it all.
As I drove them back to my place, we talked about the movie trailers - which all seemed to be Summer movies. Is nothing good about the movies of the next few moths? Then we started discussing the movie itself. We talked about New Zealand and Gollum and the production. Then I said:
"Couldn't you see it in his eyes? Sam, just damn well KISS HIM!"
Needless to say, the car fell silent.
Really, since I live in a world where men can fall in love, date and even marry, this isn't an abnormal reaction to the closeness of these two characters, Frodo and Sam, right? Yes, I know it's not written that way and I am putting some of my interest in Sean Astin in the mix.
Matt and Lisa know the score, but now I'm wondering. What happens when I introduce a boyfriend to them? are they just going to freak? They are so sheltered by their church and community.
Just an observation - I'm not worried about it.
