Weekends were made for Zardoz
Aug. 5th, 2003 09:25 amOh boy, something has got my back hurting today. I guess that four-hour drive home kind of did me in. I have to thank Donald (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
woofytexan) for the 2 Many DJ's CD that took me from Fairfield to Huntsville. Still, with my back hurting, I'm going to be a miserable wreck at work today.

I had a great birthday weekend with my baby who threw a nice party for me. People actually bought me stuff. People I barely knew showed up with wine and such. Imagine my surprise! We watched Zardoz, which is a horrible movie, and now I think I've seen it one time to many. I saw it a few weeks ago with Davo (davomatic), Kenny (kennydoug71) and Matty (mattycub). At the party Matty, Kenny and I were locked and loaded with jokes, and we already knew we'd crash the movie. We surprised some of the other guests by being so rowdy, but the movie deserves no reverence. It was great fun!
My sister brought a yummy cheesecake, and there was other good snacky foods. Otherwise, is it wrong to spend half of the party drooling over a guy, or two, or three? It's OK, I still ended up in the arms of Chris and it was good to be with him for my birthday. We stayed at the house most of the day Sunday, and he cooked waffles. We eventually went out to see the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, were we found we could have had several different ideas to make the movie better. Really they missed a big opportunity here.
I had been waiting a while to say the magic three words, but I did. Yep, I did. I had missed being with Chris while traveling. I now am the sappiest man on LiveJournal.
Other events of the weekend, seeing my sister for a while, including lunch at Hunky's, having Skye (cristalskye) cook a great dinner for us and meeting Michael (mikeybeartx). I also got to just lay about on Monday and take it easy, popping in for a couple of chats and such. Life had been moving pretty fast for a while, and I know I'll be returning to a stressful work situation today. I can't wait.
