No Nestea Plunge

On such a nice day, warm, partly sunny, and I have the day off, It would be nice to jump into the pool here at Running Rats Acres Apartments.

Oh that's right, RRAA has drained the pool to re-line it. Not like they couldn't have done it in the last three months! This is Houston, not Saskatchewan.

(Plus I need to do laundry, and RRAA dyers aren't working again - where does Davo go?)

Davo goes to either the Stanford Laundrette (at Stanford and Hawthorne) but it can get high traffic; or the McGowen Laundrette (Fairview and Woodhead), it's seedy but quick; or that swank little place by the Mockingbird Grill, a bit pricey but it's nice enough to help you forget you're doing laundry (plus they play big band music).

Thanks! I knew I could count on you for my laundry needs. Ahh, what LJ needs more of, lately, trust.

Hmm. I'll have to look for the one that plays the big band music, otherwise I'll need to take my iPod.

I love to swim. We are not fortunate to live like white folks and have a pool, so I go to the gym to swim.

Most weekends I go to the beach and swim too.

As far as the laundry is concerned, I live in Tampa and take my laundry to the nice place on Hillsborough Ave next to the Auto Zone. :-)

The beach is 50 miles away. Not far, but then the Galveston area coastline isn't the choicest you'll ever find, either. I prefer the swimming pools around here.
