One 17 inch Mac

Surprise! The new iMac is here, sitting in it's pretty, white box.

And that's where it will stay right now. I had to come over here to free it from the foul clutches of the apartment leasing staff. I have to go back to work. I just packed dinner.

We're required to work an extra 2 hours each day, plus guess where I get to be for the next two Saturdays. This better not interfere with TRBU. Grr.

Such a nice box, though...

Oooooh you're a size queen! I knew it!

That's right! The 15 inch just wouldn't going to do it!

Sir? oh, ok. Thanks!

Now I want to see how fast this 1gz processor goes!

Fast enough to be the Delorean Time Machine!

Ohh, is it a FTL processor? I've always wanted a computer that knew what I wanted before I did.

Could you come over for some installation and tech support?

Macs are evil! Spawn of Satan!!! BACK THEE DAEMON!

Also, it simply CANNOT interere with TBRU. I plan on seducing you with my wicked, wily ways!

You seem to be conflicted here...

How will you deal with me at TBRU, when you know my Apple iBook will be so close? Ohh, the dilemma!

Hee hee!

Oh! Pretty toy! Pretty shiny expensive new toy! Oh!

I want one!

Congrats! I recommend leaving it in the box until live gets better at work as that machine will suck up ALL your free time in the meantime. ;)

Yep, I don't need to open it tonight, or I'll be up for hours tinkering. I don't think I'll be able to resist for long.

And you're right. It is expensive. Ahh, the grownup toys...

[identity profile] cubziz.livejournal.com 2003-03-03 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep. Grownup toys are never cheap. At least it wasn't something like a Corvette or a private stripper. ;) Talk about expensive.

It's sort of the reverse of cats. Buy them a $20 playtoy and they'll never touch it. Give them the ring off a milk jug and they'll play for weeks.

New 17" iMac...Superdrive, Big hard drive! I'm becoming aroused. Bad fetish!
You have three more Saturdays until TBRU...you'll have a great time.

[identity profile] eggwards.livejournal.com 2003-03-04 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
I can make that even more arousing. 1gz processor and 1gig DDR ram in that half-a-volleyball packaging with an 80 gig harddrive that will be getting my entire iTunes library when I have the time to transfer it from my old Graphite iMac DV.

With Bluetooth and AirPort Extreme, too!

[identity profile] garebear.livejournal.com 2003-03-04 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Huuuummmm. Gag. What a package! Hyper arousal...I've gotta work it off ;-)

[identity profile] oakleycub.livejournal.com 2003-03-04 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I do feel kinda inadequate without Bluetooth and Airport Extreme. However the 17" powerbook is just a little large and expensive (not to mention unavailable at the time.)

I want more toys.

Oh, and I need you.
To come teach me more about my Mac.

*sigh*

You're making me nostalgic for the day my original 15" flat-panel iMac arrived. I actually drove it home from the shipping department at work over lunch, so it wouldn't have to sit in my car attracting undue attention that afternoon.

And unpacking it was almost a religious experience.

Rock on, dude...
