Damn!

Well, I lost this week in fanasy football. (For those of you from Texas A&M, this is not your expectation of going to the Big 12 title game.) As expected, St. Louis back-up QB Mark Bulger scores 22 pionts, putting me 7 behind. I was excited when Kurt Warner replaced Bulger for a series when Bulger hurt his finger - I thought I had a chance - But Bulger comes back! Damn!

Besides, Kurt Warner's cute!

That puts my record at 8-3. Second place in our work leauge.

Otherwise, I wish my beard would hurry up and grow out. It always seems to take about two weeks, and I'm halfway through week two. GET GOING!

Not to hijack this entry (my team was doing so well :( I was in first place for the first 9 weeks! and I know NOTHING about football. Down to 4th now. I've lost a few :P LOL ) but am curious.

What is there in the houston area for fun on the weekends? That might have bear types involved? San Antonio is...um. lacking. I've given Austin a shot. Thought maybe I might try Houston one of these days.

Football's not all that difficult. Research is, but you can definitely over-analyze.

Otherwise, I'm going to embarrass myself, but I'm a really poor guide. I just haven't gotten out and gotten that involved with the community - something I need to change. I have more straight friends than gay ones, and we just don't tend to go to the Montrose.

Strangely, the Bear-Bar in town, Mary's, is in danger of closing -and it's an institution. I don't know where the new hot spot will be. JR's is a regular place, and the Ripcord is for the leather/levi's scene. Then there's the dance clubs, South Beach and Rich's. There are others. Away from the bars, most Houstonians are headed to the movies or out to the incredible number of restaurants in the area. We didn't get the tag "fattest city in America" for having bad food.

That's not to say that I wouldn't be happy to be your guide...

I may take you up on that someday soon :)

Anytime. Just let me know when. :)

No, it's not what you think. I'm just filling in the beard from the goatee I've had all summer. I like to grow in the beard for the Fall-cold week- early spring.

I haven't been without facial hair since 1994.

Forgive my coming in on this late, but...

Kurt Warner's cute? Good heavens, man. ;-)

Oh yes he's cute. But then, his wife is truly scary.

I suffer with attraction to several different type of men. Most QB's wouldn't do it for me, but Warner does. I would go with a lot of the linebackers in the NFL as well - the big boys. Then again, I like baseball players, too. Chances of landing one in bed are slim, though.

BTW, your LJ icon here is really one of the best I've seen. Did you make that yourself?

Acvtually, [livejournal.com profile] braxton created it for me. All credit MUST go to him.

As for taste in men running the gamut, I understand that. I'm more of a lineman guy myself, but anyone in a tight baseball uniform can get me. :-)
