The Two Towers

So I saw the movie and it is in-cred-i-ble! I loved it. All of those History Channel specials about medieval warfare came into play. Matt and Lisa enjoyed it, but I don't think they got as much out of it. I was just enthralled by the grandure of it all.

As I drove them back to my place, we talked about the movie trailers - which all seemed to be Summer movies. Is nothing good about the movies of the next few moths? Then we started discussing the movie itself. We talked about New Zealand and Gollum and the production. Then I said:

"Couldn't you see it in his eyes? Sam, just damn well KISS HIM!"

Needless to say, the car fell silent.

Really, since I live in a world where men can fall in love, date and even marry, this isn't an abnormal reaction to the closeness of these two characters, Frodo and Sam, right? Yes, I know it's not written that way and I am putting some of my interest in Sean Astin in the mix.

Matt and Lisa know the score, but now I'm wondering. What happens when I introduce a boyfriend to them? are they just going to freak? They are so sheltered by their church and community.

Just an observation - I'm not worried about it.

He can be my Sam anytime!

I want to have wild hobbit sex with Sam, whatever that might be!

I know. I just can't go up to them and state, "this is John, last night I was sucking on his dick in bed."

Might rattle them some.

"As the big, gay ambassador I'd like to welcome you to fairyland! Yee-haw!" (just to butch it up some)

Agreed with being scared myself. Took me a looong time before I could say that I was gay, then telling the friends...

Yeah Sean Astin has defenitly grown into a cutie. I'm going to see the Two Towers tomorrow and even seeing the first one you get the impression they should get it over with and just jump into bed.

Oh, It's get so much deeper. I'm thinking Peter Jacobson (the director) is the master of the long-buring gaze. It's all in the eyes.

In fact so much of this movie is in the eyes of the characters. Lots of long stares and such.

Yeah I know...I mean how much longing an a person pack into one movie. Though I wonder if there is an easter egg on the dvd that has the director and Sean Astin going at it, hehehehehe.

Eternal damnation from Fantasy Orgies

Sometimes reminding someone who's deeply religious that you're gay is like saying you have cancer. It doesn't bother them that you're gay or have a disease, they just don't like to be reminded of it. After all, in many minds, being gay is diseased. At least Matt and Lisa are accepting enough to be friends, that says a lot about them -- I'm afraid that they may be unsure about your "damnation in hell," that says more about their religious beliefs.

Sam may just as well kiss him, though... although there's no mention of homosexuality in the books, their world is a more enlightened one where men are not afaid to show open affection. As one of my straight friends says, "Come here and give me a manly hug/kiss."

Hans, what a cutie...Sean Astin has alway been hot...Peter Jackson--what a bear! Straight men -- what a waste of manhood! An orgy with all of them? Me included (I'm not that kind of guy, or am I?)...everyone jump in! Invite Matt and Lisa to watch and learn. I know I'm bad...and I'm headed for eternal damnation.

It is sin in word, thought and deed! You are damned, damned I tell you! :-)

But what a way to go - mentally.

I just LOTR on Saturday and it was a georgeous movie. And yes, Sam is a cutie pie, though I still have a silent crush on the director, Peter Jackson (drools quitely to himself).

Last night they had the return to Middle Earth special on TV about the behind the scene look at the movie. They looked like they had soooo much fun filming it.
