How many roles does one play in life?
Over the course of the last few days I have been confessor, listener, consoler, debater, friend, boss, protector and loner. Strangely, it almost seems normal. I saw so many of my friends over the weekend, delivering presents and visiting. Exhausting. Still, I'll do just about anything for them - sometimes to my detriment, but it's important to me. Don't get me wrong, it's not like there aren't rewards for my actions. I spilled my guts out to a listening soul, and for once in a little while, I wasn't giving advice. Still, I'm trying to keep Hans grounded as he gets closer to his wedding day - what's a Best Man to do?
Christmas is almost over for me, except for the Friday off. My parents will be doing about as much for the holiday as they did for Thanksgiving. Practically nothing.
